John Conley Sr. - I was born in Westminster Township, just on the south edge of London, in the early '50's. I am retired, and enjoy playing music with a number of groups, The Plumbing Factory Band, The Mocha Shriners Trumpet Band, The Old Elgin Regiment Band, and Hawksbury Road. I also play solo keyboards, and my wife Diane and I play together both in the Plumbing Factory Band, and we play as a duet, her on the flute, and I play keys. I have worked many jobs, but the major ones were River Driver for Abitibi Paper, Forest Technician for Spruce Falls Pulp and Paper, Timber Scaler for 3 forestry companies, Forest Technician for American Can, Industrial Fire Marshal for American Can, Forest Fire Technician, Full Time Firefighter for the City of London Fire Department, Fire Inspector and Building Inspector, Fire and Arson Investigator, Training Instructor, Assistant Director of Training and Director of Training for the London Fire Department. I have also worked as an expert witness in Provincial Court, qualified as an expert in Gas Diffusion Theory, Fire Inspection, Fire Investigation, Fire Code, and Flammable Liquids.
